Drew Evarts
Managing Principal
Drew brings nearly two decades of professional management experience to his role as founder and managing principal of Grand Spire Capital.Gleaning insight from his time in the aerospace and nuclear power industries, Drew has consistently challenged himself in his career. He excels at leading programs and teams through ambiguity and toward success. His unique experiences include steering high-impact projects, developing cohesive teams, and creating shareholder value. Drew has managed several multi-million dollar Department of Defense contracts, led and developed cross-functional teams and culture, and has grown businesses from the bottom up through business development and strategy efforts. Drew is passionate about bringing teams together to accomplish shared goals and is uniquely equipped with his engineering training to solve any problem.Drew holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He resides in Los Angeles California and thrives on automotive restoration, beach volleyball, and traveling the world.
Dan Nathanson
Operating Advisor
Dan is an experienced CEO, COO, CFO, investor, entrepreneur, consultant, and educator. He has a 25-year record of success in building businesses, creating financial value, and helping entrepreneurs succeed.Dan has started, acquired, and operated several businesses. Among his most notable accolades are his roles as COO/CFO of Starline Tours, Managing Director of SJ Investment Company, CEO of Medicus Biosciences, CEO and board member of Tickmark Solutions, Founder and CEO of CRS, and Executive V.P. and board member of Vernitron Corp. Dan remains passionate about passing on his knowledge through the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he teaches Small Business Management and Business Plan Development, and is a faculty advisor for the school's field study programs.Dan holds a Ph.D. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from NYU's Graduate School of Business, and a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. His publications include Strategy Implementation: The Role of Structure and Process (Galbraith and Nathanson, West Publishing Company, 1978) and various articles on business strategy and organizational design.
Sam Rosati
Investing Advisor
Sam is an active investor and leading educator in the SMB/ETA community. After practicing M&A law with Foley & Lardner, and working as a CPA at Price Waterhouse, Sam followed his passion for business and entrepreneurship by acquiring and growing more than a dozen small companies in various industries, including dumpster rental, manufacturing, real estate services, commercial fencing, HVAC, and aquatics management, among others.Sam’s career has focused on advising businesses during key transitional periods and daily operations, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law and public accounting. Previously, Sam was an investment banker at Rosati Business Brokerage, a M&A advisory firm, a corporate lawyer at Foley & Lardner, a global law firm, and an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He graduated from the University of Virginia and the University of Florida. Sam is a licensed lawyer and CPA, and he actively invests in and advises local businesses. Sam is an active golfer, and he lives in the Tampa Bay area with his wife Lindsey.Today, Sam is a serial investor in SMB acquisitions via Pursuant Capital, supporting numerous entrepreneurs in their “ETA” journeys. He is also a leading educator of acquisition entrepreneurs via SMBootcamp and SMBash. Sam is also a co-founder of SMB Law Group, a law firm focused exclusively on supporting SMB buyers.
